Cheat Devices, are They Worth it?

The widespread, most dividing question among all gaming fans and game fan sites still remains unsolved.  Is a cheat device the best tool for game completion and ultra high scores in the world or a complete annoyance to all gaming experts everywhere, with beginners beating the best of experts with codes and advanced game hacking?  Although I would generally say the word yes as an answer to that( I think it's great), I will consider both sides of the argument and not just the one side on which this site is generally biased.

so some sites are for them, like this one, right?  Well there are a lot of benefits to their use which include:

New characters
Never seen before levels
Gimmicks like the moon jump
Beta parts of the game never seen before by non-employees of the company that made the game
All new glitches and cheats

The new characters, make a load of difference in multi-player and look really good.  They also are great for playing the game like playing as Giga Bowser in Smash Bros Melee or those unlocked in RPG games( those which are basically based on board games).

And never seen before levels, like the Test level in Super Smash Bros Melee,, the art studio in the Legend of Zelda Wind Waker or the Test Level in Mario Sunshine.  These games aren't on Nintendo DS but I can't use cheat devices until the Action Replay Duo is released, which will be brilliant.

Or the charm of the moon jump code, being able to fly.  Haven't any fair play obsessed experts seen how awesome it is and tried it?

Beta Levels, my favourite part of games other than glitches, with more cool stuff than most other parts of the games.  Like the beta Outset Island in the Wind Waker, the same one played when the game was showcased at a videogame event!  That's quality gaming.

But there's a flip side of the coin.  Cheat devices may be generally safe peripherals but unofficial cheat codes( not found on official cheat or enhancement device websites) can be terribly dangerous.  Like the Debug Master Control Menu in Smash Bros Melee which can erase your entire memory card if an inexperienced player messes around with it!

But life's full of risks.  If you don't take them as a game player, you probably won't be a gaming master, now, nor ever.
